Summary
The user inquires whether the Flyte platform has added a feature to archive specific versions of a workflow since their last discussion, expressing skepticism about the feasibility of this if archiving is limited to the workflow level. They mention reviewing the update command, which seems to require considerable effort for version archiving. Additionally, the user seeks information on what other users do regarding image retention, aiming to improve the user experience for workflows affected by the removal of containers due to retention policies.

gotcha, yeahh I looked at <https://github.com/flyteorg/flyte/blob/7989209e15600b56fcf0f4c4a7c9af7bfeab6f3e/flytectl/cmd/update/workflow_meta.go#L43|the update command> and it does seem like quite some work to get it to support version
:disappointed:

Not sure if this can be done if archive is only workflow level (without big lift)

 I'm looking for a way to archive a specific version of a workflow and from <https://discuss.flyte.org/t/13152093/hey-flyte-community-is-there-a-way-to-archive-one-particular|this thread> it seems like support is yet to be added in https://github.com/flyteorg/flyte/issues/3869|#3869? That thread is a little old so I wanted to double-check here if this is possible now
